R.K. Harrison (editor), “Major Cities of the Biblical World”

This 1985 book includes as authors Peter Craigie, Edwin Yamauchi, and John Wilkinson.

At least some of the entries (by city) are by believers; maybe they all are (Thomas Nelson publisher).

An interesting approach:  Lots of secular history and archaeology, in addition to the Bible itself.

There is much that corroborates the historicity of the Bible, in terms of events and practices.  The book certainly shows that the Bible is not just all made up, and that’s useful.  Of course, a remaining question is whether the “God parts” are made up, and I suppose they could have been, just as the “gods parts” of Greek mythology are made up even if much else there is consistent with ancient history.
