A couple of thoughts to keep everything else in perspective:
- When you think about it, there is really no other group in world history like the Jews. Consider, for starters, their longevity and successes despite repeated calamity and persecution. They are, by the way, less than 0.2 percent of the world’s population.
- And there also is no other book that exists that is like the Christian Bible. Consider here the mix of human history, wisdom that is both profound and practical, and fingerprints of God, with multiple authors spanning centuries, and the beneficial, nay, providential impact on millions of individuals — across time and space — and on our civilizational roots.
